The Company / The Role:

Global Machinery Solutions are the UK and European dealers for an exciting portfolio of equipment. Operating within the Construction, Forestry, Recycling, Confi-Shred and Aggregates markets, Global pride themselves on both providing quality equipment and a quality aftermarket service. We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Coordinator to join the team, sitting within the aftermarket service team based at our head office in Long Bennington, you will be responsible for the administration and service support across the Recycling, Forestry, Aggregates and Confi-shred divisions.

  • Scheduling of workshop and service engineers, compilation, and distribution of engineer’s work schedules daily.
  • Opening and closing of job cards, ensuring job cards are completed for all service work.
  • Taking customer calls for breakdowns and service requests, then scheduling the work accordingly.
  • Preparation of service invoices.
  • Controlling / storing of the service records, ensuring that extra work is quoted in a timely manner.
  • Checking and supplying service paperwork to the customer base and internally to sales
  • Support sales with hire and demo requests and preparation.
  • Responsible for dealing with queries and complaints over the telephone and via email.
  • Follow credit control policies and procedures.
  • General clerical tasks.
  • Carry out any other duties that may be considered relevant to the position within the terms of your contract of employment

  • At least 2 years’ experience in a service/customer focused role.
  • I.T literate and proficient in using Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook, (IBCOS Gold desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner.
  • Confident to challenge / present information to the Service Manager / Operations Director when requested, both verbal and written.
  • Team player supports colleagues and the wider business when required to do so, flexible with a can-do attitude.
  • Driving licence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £27,000.00 per year
